Abstract:
This note contains a short summary of main characteristics of pure plant oil
(PPO) as a fuel for internal combustion engine automotive applications.
The main conclusions are that:
! PPO does represent an option, which in some technical end environmental
aspects are superior to other alternative fuels.
! On the other hand use of PPO entails a need for engine modifications as well
as a need for a separate distribution infrastructure.
